My partner, Kim, was my enthusiastic subject for this purpose. Indeed, it was Kim who first suggested that I photograph her while she masturbated. And so, for one delightful afternoon, Kim spent hours pleasuring herself. (14 bilder).
Most of my sexual photography is of couples. On several occasions I’ve photographed three people together, and a few times I’ve photographed groups of people being sexual together at a party. But in 2009 I decided that it was important to include masturbation – “sex for one” as sex advocate Betty Dodson liked to call it – in my sexual project, which I want to include as broad a representation of different ways of being sexual as possible.
